This is an original painting from my 2017 Collection ‘Hot to Cool’.

Painted en plein air on a boiling hot day, The Wedding Field was full of yellow Buttercups glowing in June sun. In stark contrast the trees fringing the field looked almost black. I wanted to record the joyous beauty of the field, the heat, and the contrast between light and shade.

The painting is supplied in a beautifully handcrafted frame made from a combination of hand painted pine and solid oak by local Yorkshire craftsmen and women.
